As you can see we now have a new and totally beautiful newsletter format (Thank you Gina) and I have decided to feature one aspect of sexuality or our bodies each month, so check out the Information station section below.
If you haven't yet visited our new store in Long street this is the perfect time to pop in and invest in a gift that will not only Whet your appetite but keep on giving (or coming, as the case may be) throughout the year.
With winter just around the corner, we're all getting ready to cuddle up under the covers. It's the perfect time to size up your sensual sizzle. Making love in front of a warm fire, a glass of smooth red wine and something new and exciting to add a bit of spice.
In the current economy many of us are having to tighten our belts and sacrifice some of our luxuries. A dinner for two in an average (and sometimes very mediocre) restaurant can easily cost R400 or R500 and once eaten is soon forgotten. Investing in a good quality sensual accessory, can on the other hand offer many memorable moments of pleasure and help to stretch your hard earned money so much further.

Q: Which organ has a higher concentration of nerve fibres than is found anywhere else in the body, including the fingertips, lips and twice the number found in the penis?
A: The clitoris of course!
So it seems logical that for our first newsletter I should choose to focus on this amazing organ.
Regrettably many women are still not "best friends" with their clitoris and their partners are not sure how to please it, or in some cases even where to find it.
The clitoris It's the only organ in the human body that exists solely for pleasure, in other words, it has been "custom built" for orgasms. For most woman and is usually the place that, when stimulated, will bring her to orgasm.Sadly though in the past, no doubt influenced by the theories of Sigmund Freud, many women believed that a clitoral orgasm was somehow inferior to an internal orgasm, particularly one achieved through intercourse with a man.
Every clitoris is unique and there is "clitoral standard" that we should be measuring up to.Some protrude from the clitoral hood, a soft fold of tissues that helps to protect the clitoris, and some are almost completely covered by it. Although every women is different in general look for a small round bud. First locate and find the inner labia (lips) and in general the clitoris is at the point where they meet, near the top of the genital cleft. When a women becomes aroused the clitoris fills with blood, becomes erect and may retract underneath the clitoral hood. You can also gently pull back the hood with your fingers if you want a better look.
While some women like direct stimulation of the glans(head) of the clitoris, others find it too intense and maybe even painful. Using a good water based lubricant, like Whet Personal Lubricant may help to not only ease the friction but add to the pleasure. Too much direct stimulation of the glans can cause numbness and decreased pleasure so you should also try stimulating one or both sides the clitoris and the area around it.Experiment with using one finger and several and with different types of pressure and timing, tuning into your own or your partners response.
